Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician and singer from Canada. [2][3] The range of her earlier music was described as "lo lo R&B" as well as "futuristic dance-pop". She has also incorporated elements from hip hop electronic music, as well as rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction as well as feminist themes in her songs. Grimes has recorded five albums. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver before moving to Montreal in 2000. Grimes started releasing her music as a solo act from the mid 2000s. The albums released were by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in the year 2010. After that, she was signed to 4AD and gained notoriety when she released the third album of her studio, Visions that was released in 2012. Visions comprises the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and was awarded the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. The fourth album of her studio Art Angels was released in the year 2015. It was praised highly from critics and many magazines voted it to be the top album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album of studio work. Grimes as well as an actor and judge in Alter Ego's music contests, played a part as a vocalist on the album Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 20th of January, 2020.
